For those who want to head inland, the terrain rises sharply. Above Tekirova stands Mount Tahtalı. A cable car runs from the lower slopes up to the bare, rocky summit, offering wide views over the entire coastline.

Above the village of Çıralı lies one of the most unusual natural sights in Antalya province: the eternal flames of Yanartaş, also known as the Chimaera. Methane gas seeps through cracks in the rocky hillside, igniting naturally upon contact with the air. These fires have been burning for thousands of years and were used by ancient mariners as a natural lighthouse. The walk up the stone steps is best done at dusk or after dark when the flames are most visible against the rocks.
